As a senior executive with McDonald’s Laurent Meneghin acquired 25 years’ experience developing the brand internationally, opening 30+ new countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South-East Asia, representing 1,600 stores and $4bn gross sales. He initiated McDonald’s “Store of the future” concept, leveraging the latest technologies combined with innovative operational processes (home delivery, interactive point of sale, digital marketing…) and increasing franchisees’ profit margins significantly.
Laurent has in-depth expertise in all aspects of the international retail/hospitality business, always putting the customer at the center of his decisions, and with a proven record building trust with banks as well as beneficial partnerships between franchisors and franchisees.
In line with Swiss humanitarian traditions, Laurent started his professional journey as a volunteer, then worked for a decade for the League of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, setting up delegations in countries struck by natural disasters: earthquake (USSR/Armenia 1988), drought in Africa (Sahel/Niger) and post-war reconstruction (Angola, Ethiopia, Lebanon…).
Sharing their time between Geneva and Moscow (Russia), Laurent and his wife are active members of an association raising funds to procure essential devices for disabled orphans in Siberia.
